Dr. David Smartt

Chaplain (COL) David Smartt, (Retired) is currently an administrator, board member, and consultant for church and non-profit organizations. He served on active duty as a Church of God US Army Chaplain specializing in Fund and Installation Management. In addition to numerous Army troop assignments, he served as Chief of Chaplaincy Resource Management at the Pentagon, then as Commandant of the US Army Chaplaincy Center and School. The last 13 years he served as Associate Professor of Business in the School of Business at Lee University.
His undergraduate and graduate M.Div. degrees were completed at Lee University and the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee. In business, his academic credentials include an M.B.A. from Syracuse University, an M.S. in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Ph.D. in Management from Northcentral University. He is also a Certified Church Administrator (CCA) and assists with the Virtual Certification training as well as reviewer for CCA Projects for The Church Network.
